Creative Christian Ministries

WelcomeIntroducing myselfWorking with YouBe in Touch
I regularly work in partnership with my wife and soul-mate, Olive Fleming Drane (www.olivedrane.com and www.spirituality2go.com), encouraging renewal and fresh thinking in relation to mission, ministry, spirituality, worship, the arts, and theological reflection.

►; For churches: if you want to look to the future and become the sort of community of faith that can connect with post-modern searchers after truth, then we can help you to enhance your ministry in various ways:
++ consultancy work with your local church, identifying new opportunities for relevant engagement with today’s spiritual searchers
++ training in effective mission, using insights from around the world
++ renewal of worship, exploring how we might use all that we are to connect with all that God is
++ creativity and spirituality, thinking and acting outside the box
++ professional development for leaders, empowering those who are timid with new confidence and skills
++ storytelling like Jesus
++ and anything else you would like to explore with us.

►; For colleges and seminaries: we both hold postgraduate degrees in theology, and have extensive experience of teaching theological subjects in colleges and seminaries around the world, including Morling College (Sydney), Fuller Seminary (Pasadena), Knox College (Dunedin), Spurgeons College (London), Cliff College (Sheffield), Bible College of New Zealand (Christchurch). Favorite topics include
++ theology and the arts
++ movies and faith
++ ministry with families
++ church and cultural change
++ leadership skills for Christian ministry
++ the Christian scriptures (New Testament)
++ worship and evangelism
++ popular spirituality

►; For spiritual searchers: while our own spiritual roots are in the Christian tradition, we are happy to work with spiritually serious people wherever you may be. Angels, spirituality through the arts, ritual, mask-making, sacred dance, clowning, play, personal empowerment, healing … all these things are part of our own spiritual journey.

►; For individuals: people often email me and ask if I can supervise their doctoral work. The answer is yes, either through Fuller Seminary in California, USA, or through Spurgeons College in London, England. Or, potentially, through any other seminary, college, or university that is willing to make arrangements.

Though our home base is in Scotland, Olive and I regularly travel all around the world: if you are attracted by what either or both of us can offer, then distance should not deter you from exploring how we might work with you.
